black swing arm

Post by whitestorm pete »

had a day off today to get the swing arm on thought i would take a day at it because pound to a pinch of sh1t sumut will go wrong! as it goes it went ok one of the lower linkage bolts was stuck solid and took 4ton on the press + heat. I put greese nipples in the linkages so now i can keep on top of it. I was after a better looking chain guard and when i took the standard one off i found that the pyramid hugger incorporates a chain guard result! seems the old one was just bolted over top  ImageImageImageImage

Looking good Pete. My hugger/ chain guard is a Pyramid and the original chain guard fits over the top completely , don't know if you could?

I think the Pyramid is designed with putting the original chain guard over the top in mind. Looking good Pete and I'm liking the little bits of carbon in places. You just need some carbon hangers now. :biggrin

Carl is correct, the pyramid hugger is designed for the original to fit over the top, I don't think it covers enough of the chain otherwise. On its own the rear end could get a bit mucky from chain lube. I know where he got the c/f straps from....

Al just keep an eye out on ebay for akrapovic straps. Just make sure they are the right size and shape.

I use the back brake a lot, especially on corners or just gradually slowing down to lights. Saves wear and tear on the fronts and it's cheaper to replace one set of pads than two.
