Have any of you considered making a vtr1000.org facebook group?

I just thought it would be quite useful as a way of getting quick responses for questions as when your in a private group you can set it to show notifications when someone has posted

Obviously then if you have an urgent question it would notify other members and they could ideally respond, without necessarily being on the forum at the time

a lot of elderly people on the forum who can't/won't do facebook, there are a small renegade group of us that are on f/b tho, it wouldn/t be a bad idea.

I'm not sure who owns this page but would like to set up one called "vtr1000.org" or similar if Thats ok?

Only for sharing the odd bike related pic and maybe question or two etc so we don't clutter the forum, would also make admin if Thats any bonus

And younger. Facepoop is less private than posting on here. If you want extra private you have the PM facility. It's going to be more private than facepoop. I think you will find that the majority of members would be quicker to respond to any posts on here.

I personally don't think you should not be using the .org in your name, first, it would suggest that it's related to this forum when it's not. Second it may attract more rubbish into the forum in the form of spammers, advertisers and all the other rubbish that gets tied into facebook. This could either be via the front end or through a back door.

If I was you I would contact the owner of this forum first and ask their permission before using the forum name otherwise it could be considered identity theft.

I use Facebook - it's fine, I keep in touch with a lot of friends there. Remember: 1st rule of Facebook - if it's private, don't put it on Facebook

Maybe that's where I've been going wrong...
Never said I was any good at this Facebook stuff

I think I've changed it, and even uploaded a couple of pictures which I probably should've done a long time ago...
It's all kicking off now though, there's a member and everything
