Underseat pipes

Post by Pete »

Hi all,

Just wondering if there's anywhere that sells an underseat pipe conversion for the storm?

I saw a picture of a highly modded black storm once with an underseat conversion and wouldn't mind giving it a lash myself...

Come to think of it... I have low level micron pipes, can anyone advise how I maight get the pipework and brackets to mount these high level? Not bothered about keeping the pillion foot pegs (makes bike handle like a canoe carrying a passenger).

I suspect .... Del? you must know... come on.... :?

Err have you tried buying the hi level link pipes from Micron??? generally the cans are the same just the link pipes are different...

Then you just have to knock up a bracket and away you go

Pete,
I'm going through the same thing at the moment looking to see if I can get it done. I have to replace my cans anyway, and am looking to see if I can get the underseat done at the same time. Do you reckon it is a case of getting a local fella to do it, or are these things easy to pick up. Let me know how you get on, and I'll do the same.

Unfortunately.. that isn't the case :(

At the moment all of it is modified from the rear pipe to the cans due to the single sided swinger being on.. then it is a botched attempt by the previous owner to make an underseat exhaust.

I might keep it as underseat but will have to have all the pipes redone anyway.. but I was thinking one can on the left hand side to show off all the rear wheel on the right hand side  8)

Just need to get hold of a standard seat subframe first and then can work from there

Yep, can't argue with that one.
The single side can on the left with a single sided swinger looks ace

Pic uploaded into misc that I found ages ago
