i think i prefer the look of the cut down fairing to the normal fairing, but only with the front mounted rad.
looks a bit like a fazer........

muppett have you ditched the headlight on your bike?

no headlight, no clocks and very minimal wiring, good thing is i have no guilt over butchering it as it was a track bike when i bought it so no frame numbers etc so will never see the open road again.

hahaha, are you running without an airbox?
i fancy having a play and smoothing the airbox down as much as possible, so i would need a spare incase i rock it up....

i've got a spare airbox, i bought it for the trumpets. you can have it for whatever it costs to post to you.
tip; it's the space above the trumpets thats more important than the area to the sides.

Anyone know if there is any weight to be saved by fitting firblade wheels ?

There will be on the fireblade that you nic the wheels of lol
On the blade forums they have it in there heads that the storm wheels are lighter:)
And on here it's the other way around
You could always try a swap with a blade owner
To be honest to save weight have your wheels bead blasted to remove the paint as that's got to weigh 300g a wheel

Can't ride but it don't stop me trying

i think micky in canada weighed them and there wasn't much in it, certainly not worth changing them for weight lose. they look a lot better tho.
your better of keeping an eye on ebay for a pair of dymags or similar.......

late gixxer thou, (K7/K8) wheels weigh feck all. half hour mucking about with spindles/spacers should be time well spent.

You going to Turbo Charge it too, that would certainly see you well under 10s's

No turbo for me may put a 25 bhp wet nitrous on a bit later, and in answer to bsm im running an airbox with no filter, still using a lightly modded snorkle with extra air inlet on top of airbox as the petrol tank is just a dummy shell so i have a lot of space above the airbox. may work may not
