So all that hard work over the past few weeks...

Fail... :(

Own fault just didn't tighten the headstock bearings up enough...Stupid, stupid, stupid.

Did I say stupid ?

Still It could have been worse what with all the bit's I've changed on it I was half expecting something to be wrong with it...

So back in the cave next time it's not feking raining & do it again...

Unlucky Mac, as you say though it could have been a lot worse. Just frustrating I'm sure,

Chris.

Rear tyre fitted to spare wheel (Pilot road 4 done 40 miles punctured and repaired £30 off ebay). Put it on bike but bearing shows some play so out again fitted good bearing. Replacedfront wheel with spare which had brand new tyre but found brakes binding, off again cleaned brake pistons. Back in again and that's all good but one fork seal has gone so job for weekend. MoT still needed but its not ready yet, itching to get out on it. Hard luck on yours failing Mac these things are sent to try us.

Had Pirelli Rosso 4's put on a few weeks ago, they don't fill me with confidence the way that Supercorsa's do, so they've come off to go to Jonesy for his beemer, and new Supercorsa 3's have gone on.

But, upon checking, the rear was 200/60/17 instead of the 200/55/17 it needs. The 60 profile goes on bikes like Panigale's.
FWR in Southwark, so not exactly round the corner.
But they offered to get one in and drop it in to my home tomorrow, very impressive. I left the rear rim with them, hopefully it's coming home tomorrow...

Listed the RC8R for sale...

Doing up a house can really put a dent in your bank balance!

Hopefully will have an affordable replacement for Wales. I don't think my girlfriend would lend me her KTM RC125 to bounce off the limiter for 3 days

It's a bummer in some respects, but on the flip side - It's kinda stressful to own such a nice bike. The worry of dropping it on a trackday, getting caught in the rain, keeping everything in order etc.

I do miss the worry free ownership of the Storm, a few marks here and there don't matter and it doesn't look as appealing to thieves when you find a Panigale to park up next to!

I'd still love a big KTM adv, but I'll have to wait for that.

I've fired a message to Stuart...

Just a few bits of Blonkeyness...

Fairings off, tightened up the shockingly loose headstock bearings... :redface

Few cosmetic bits... That'll do for today.
