Or, get something a bit longer lasting. My front OEM Supercorsa lasted less than 1000 miles. I now get 2500 out of a rear Rosso3. Going to Italy soon so I've put a Bridgestone T32 (£164) on the back. Seems OKish.

I tried Rossi IV's, they came off within a week...
I was told that there were no current shipments coming into the UK so the retailer needed to source from a wholesaler which was more expensive. I checked around, and could get them cheaper from Italy, but by the time I paid duty and fitting, there wasn't much in it.

I can get a season out of this set, because I'm taking the bike in the back of a van to NI, as I did with Scotland last year.
I can't justify wasting half the life of a set of boots just getting to a meet!

I should probably buy off season.

Interesting you didn't like the Rosso 4s. I get on with the Rosso 3s. I've not tried the 4s. The only tyre I took back off straight away were Roadtecs. That WAS a mistake. I have to admit the Supercorsas are the DBs, they feel so nice. But, for the mileage I do they are not practicable.

Apparently there are now Rosso 4 corsa's, which fit between the Rosso 4's and Supercorsa so I might try those next time.
Same tread pattern as Supercorsa but a slightly more hard-wearing tread pattern in the centre. Still dual compound.

It's surprising how much difference in height those alloy plates make

Overfilled the front brake reservoir and then had to empty some brake fluid out as it was leaking when out for a ride. Must pay more attention as the front brake comes in handy :D

Been working on the Big Bird of late...

Image

Bastid thing still wont start but at least stopped blowing main fuse now.

Had a go yesterday put 5ltrs of fule in turned it over & killed the battery...Stuck another fully charged battery on...Same thing turns over but no catching, zip, nish, nothing...

That battery started to slow down so gave up with the hump & stripped the front head off Custurds old motah...

Round two today...Opens the cave...reeks of fule !

Big Bird is leaking fule from the petcock, dripping from one of the bolts holding it to the tank..?

Probably about 3 quids worth of fule on the floor...The good stuff as well...

So drained it back out, checked the bolts both tight...Took the petcock off, the diaphram wasn't sitting right so good job I checked no splits or tares but decided to stick a differnt one on it instead... Made a gasket for it, put it back on with a smear of sealent as well...bolted it back up & leave to set.

Back to the scrap motah, pulled the rear head off, took the sump off took the oil pump out took the sprag clutch out...The rest can go to scrap...

Transfer gears, Mac, don't forget those.
They don't fail very often but can be hard to find when you need a set.
