I hope all goes well for you with your charity drive, I lost my son at 18 to a previously undiagnosed congenital heart defect in 2005. I support CRY (cardiac risk in the young) as a consequence.
I tried voting for your charity but the system asks for postcode and address and then only allows you to vote for the charity nominated in your area and Little hearts aren't available. Can you think of any way round this? It does ask for name address as part of the voting process so difficult to fake it.

Best of luck again for this most deserving cause.

Kaz, thanks very much for your kind words. I was lucky enough to have had 18 good years with my boy and we were good mates (most of the time). It shocked me at the time it happened to find out that 8 young people (between 14 - 30) die each week from these problems, so there are a lot of families going through the same thing.
Hope everything works out OK for you. Take care.

Chris.. Alex is now almost 19 months old.. don't know where time has gone.. he'll soon be due his 3rd open heart op :eek2
he's also getting a brother next February too.. just hope we don't have to go thru the same  tho there has been a cardiac scan done and all was fine !
Kaz, I hope everything goes well for Alex's next operation. I can hardly believe he is almost 19mths old already.

Yes, I remember you saying Alex is getting a brother, but didn't realise it was in February.

I also sincerely hope you don't have to go through the same thing again.
