2.7k Id say thats a great price, the only thing Id change is the injection system from the sp2 to the sp1, I have asked a few people some say it can be done some say no, but this is the place to ask so can it be done? :confused I have ridden an sp1 on quite a few occasions and its a real on/off jerky thing at low speeds, quite unnerving actually in the winter. Well done Im jealous, for a frog and a conker more than a top firestorm costs you have a tool mate and I aint talkin rock

I'm going to get a PowerCommander - I'm told that'll sort it out?

I had both an FZ1S and a Daytona 650 which were completely un-rideable at certain revs... My local dealer has one of his mechanics after one as well - so well happy that I've got this. Just pay for it tomorrow and then wait with baited breath for it to arrive :D

Agree 100% Mike. It's not an issue for me either-the bike rides great :)

I think a lot of these perceived faults are blown out of proportion (SP fueling, TL damper etc) by the bike press in general.

I am with Mike on this one, the SP can be lumpy if you are in town but as I am sure I have said before it ain't a town bike. No power commander on mine, I just try to not grip the throttle too tightly as every bump moves your body/arm etc and moves the throttle just that wee bit to produce the jerkieness (sp?) A lad at my local bike shop once said to me to let the throttle have a bit of freeplay and thus you lessen the direct engine response to bumps.

cheers

A.M.

ps That is a clean looking bike you have there, enjoy it.

As you say, before shelling out any dosh - I'll try it. It cant be any worse than my Daytona - that was un-rideable from 2 to 4k RPM. Thinking about it, it was pretty un-rideable full-stop....

Its going to be a long week waiting for it to arrive.....
