Is this a good deal?

FWR tyres are offering avon azaro 2 at special offer.
They are selling 1 front (av39) and 2 rears(av40) for Â£199 delivered.
which doesn't sound so bad for 3 tyres to me.

are the tyres any good?
and does anyone know of any better deals out there?

all comments appreciated.

Depends if you like Avons or not.

Dont know about the Avons but I can recommend FWR - Ive had a couple of sets off them now - always next day, always correct, always value for money.

Ok, not very helpfull. I've heard lots of negative comments regarding Avons in the wet. If you're a dry weather biker then it could be a good deal. But you can get a set of grippy Dunlop D207RR's for around Â£150 at the moment which are good all round although they are quite 'pointy'.

At the end of the day, you pay's your money ....

You might still be lucky & get a cheap set of 207rr as dunlop were selling of all the old stock of these,but they are now mostly gone now as the new 208s are now out, if you cant get the dunlops i would try pirrelli evo corsa or metz z3 before i would use avons, as al says they are not reported as very good in the wet

I've run avons a few times, and never had a problem with them. Good grip, good braking performance, and they last a good while too.
