Boing..boing..boing.......

Post by vtrjock »

Not having had the bike long I haven't had time to look at the suspension setup yet.
Coming to work yesterday morning I picked up a 600 bandit at 6 oclock !
Quickly Switching to stomp drive I blasted up the road and was gone, said bandit came out of the sun again though whilst I was queing on an Island.
Bit later I came out of a smaller island with a real flip-flop off camber exit Mr Bandit reet up my tail end. Game over over I thought...sniggering to myself...bye,bye.....but no ! As I slipped off the side to haul it over on the exit the front end turned to rubber, wallowing like a hippo with the horn !
(I ride reasonbaly smoothly, unlike a hippo with the horn)
Managed to remain dignified and grunted off ...but thought oh bummer.
Looking at the fork tops, the preload adusters appear to be sticking out quite a long way. Is there an "optimum" setting on these for all round "spirirted" riding (!) ? I know that by desing they are softsh but I've not got the dosh to sort a serious mod out on the front just yet so need to make the best of what is there!
The front tyre (Sportmax) is getting towards re-shod but looks okish?

Any advice welcome dudes.

I had my forks done and a penske fitted a fortnight ago.
Still getting used to it, since i find myself going quicker now.

Dead simple, its a class bit of kit.
I asked Roger whats special about the Penske's he supplies and he gets them from the Racing Division of Penske.
Buy a Penske from Demon Tweeks and it comes from the mass produced factory line.
If you got the money, its well worth it.
