Hi all,
Just wanted to say hi having become a somewhat unplanned owner of a shiny yellow Firestorm. I say unplanned as had only gone to the dealer for a can of chain lube but hey ho . I had been thinking about changing to a twin or bigger four at some point and having clapped eyes on the storm and taken it for a quick test I was smitten. Luckily I had my paperwork with me in my pack, the deal was done and before I knew it I was rumbling off on my way home (without the chain lube dammit...).
What can I say, what a completely fantastic machine. Plenty of grunt for they (lazy) way I ride, so much more so than the CBR600F I had been on, totally easy to get on and just go fast and comfortable to boot. They even built in the fuel range around my internal 'time for a Yorkie' clock which tends to kick in after about 100 miles riding.
Anyways if the yellow VTR recently sold to Midlands Superbikes belonged to any of you on here, thanks for letting it go (but what the hell did you do to the slow speed steering?)
so, again, hi.
Stu

Hi Stu
Looks like Nestle profits will be well up in the West Mids over the next few months...
Enjoy the bike and the forum mate

Re: Hello fellow Firestorm types
Is this a genuine question? I'd change the tyres, dunlop Qualifier IIs are really speedy on the turn in?bstb3 wrote:

Welcome aboard and enjoy.
No bike (yet).
Re: Hello fellow Firestorm types
Thanks for the welcomes, nice to be here
I put a more detailed question on the workshop forum re the steering, its more a case of being weird at slow speed, than slow to turn. Tyres are Bridgestone somethings, seem good at speed though (which is where it counts ).
Maybe I can get the Storm sponsered by Nestle..
