Hi All

Post by midlifecrisis? »

Hi all

Well after a long absence from bikes I bought a VTR last Saturday,it made an interesting 180 mile ride home not having ridden for 8 years and my last bike being a RD350....

Anyway I love it much and am now spending all my beer money on petrol.

Seems you have a friendly and helpfull forum here, doubt I can help anyone much though.

Thanks in advance if I need to ask any stoopid questions ;)

Welcome, bike looks nice and shiny!

(he must have been desperate to sell it!)

Seriously, same advice to everyone new on the site - check whether CCT's have been sorted- possibilities of tears before bedtime otherwise. No need to panic- it's an easy fix for peace of mind.
That's about the only weakness- these are brilliant fun bikes.

I'd give it a month before you have a list of mod's planned, just like the rest of us...... :D

Where you at?
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.

Welcome mate,
Looks pretty much sorted, tinted screen, braided hoses, cut down rear mud guard, hugger, clear rear light and Scorpion cans!!!
As tony says, main point of worry is the ccts so have a search on here and see which way you want to go, i.e modded ccts or manual ape ccts.
Happy riding mate.

Jim.

Black and gold. Very nice. Same tyres and cans as mine (and Chris') too. Must get my wheels powder coated gold too sometime.
Two bikes, still only four cylinders!

Thanks for the welcome/kind comments guys :) and to the 2 previous owners for the stuff they did already ,all seems good imo..still only 12k miles on the the clock with full history...:S but thanks for the heads up on the ccts, sound ok but dont want to gamble on them.

Ohh and I am from Stevenage and Yeh its a bit different from an 'LC still cant work out where to put the 2 stoke oil and those expansion chambers sound dodgy ? :P
