"Oh dear, I appear to have crashed my motorcycle! Thats a bit of a
bummer not to mention inconvenient!" These were the words that were
in my head as I highsided my VTR on a roundabout last night!
Im hoping damage is just cosmetic. However, when I turn on the
ignition the HISS light comes on and then starts flashing (what Id
expect if it wasnt the right key) The lights and indicators all work
at this point - no nuetral light/oil light or digital display
(although the backlight and clock are on)
Anyone got any suggestions?
Thanks
Wayne
P.S Apart from two sore legs Im fine and dandy
Oops! Crashed it!

OUCH!!!
Sounds like a hard hit.
I'd think the HISS probably is damaged - especially since some of the other electrics do work. Hope I'm wrong though, sounds like you have enough to worry about.
At least the bike can be fixed/replaced with $$$$$$. - that's not always possible with the body.
Insurance cover it????

Weehaaaa! Its running!
I took the fecked fairing off and unplugged/replugged all the earth/electrical connectors etc and she is now running sweet as a nut! Result
Also had a bloody good look around, sans fairing, and it all looks ok.
Clouds with silver linings and all that Im now thinking - "hold on a sec - it looks quite cool with out the fairing - I wonder if x would fit on y? Maybe if I replaced this with one of those????"

RE-GET OFF
now thats what you call dedication, highsiding your bike just to get some more new parts.rather extreme ! but hell if it works
At least you are ok ,
bikes are easy fixed, bones can take a lot longer.
