A little light amid all the sad news lately

I wondered whether to post this because of all the sad news lately, but decided that I, for one, needed a pick-me-up.

I just found out I'm going to be an aunty (or an uncle...) for the first time! My hippy/lawyer brother & his hippy/teacher partner of around 12 years are expecting.

I'm 35 & the youngest of three & my poor almost 70 year old parents are about to get their first grandchild. The pressure's off!

Nephews and Nieces are so much fun. You get to wind them up, fill em full of E numbers and give them back to the parents in Super Hyper mode

Love it! you get all the fun but without the responsibility

all the best for the future as nieces and nephews can be fun (i baby sat one of my nephews when he was a week old.i found out a few weeks ago im about to become a great uncle as one of my nephews fiance is expecting a boy,i have 5 nephews by my only sister so i know what it is like

Thanks guys! Yup, I'm looking forward to it. Chances of me being able to have my own are next to zilch, so it's the next best thing. I don't think they'll have any reserves about me babysitting, either, coza the whole nursing thing.
