Local gossip is that 2 riders (public) died on the open roads on tuesday and 4 wednsday, but i cant find anything on the intrnet to confirm, but the sources were the couple who have rented us their house, and she works at the hospital! He reckoned that there are more people here already than there was on centenary yr. During race week, and it's all down to that "film".
yeah definitely 2 on tue

Just watched the first bit of practice on the telly, and blow me- right behind the presenter in the background of the opening shot are two orange VTR's, side by side.

We will be in "the garden" on the edge of brae hill for the race on Saturday, it's a house that is owned by a couple, now in their 80's, and every yr they let big race teams bring their VIP's there....for free!...You are 3 feet from the bikes as they power into he dip at the bottom of the hill at 160........awesome does not do it justice!

We were in there on Thursday practice and met the Honda VIPs and Neil tuxworth, and the mugen TT zero team from Japan who hope to crack the 100mph lap on the leccy bike. I got in because it turns out my mates new girlfriends father is a bit of a TT legend being one of only 2 men to have won on the mountain course on both 3 and 2 wheels! 1986 sidecar TT winner..Then a Manx win on a 250 solo....respect  .... (and just for us sad old boys....the sidecar was powered by a Barton Phoenix 750cc square4 2stroke engine which was the same as used in the race bike in the david essex Silver Dream Racer film)

Through knowing him, you get to bump into people who have been racing here for Many years, and many are multiple ex champions...talking to one bloke who did his first TT in 1964 and the last one in 2002, and picked up a lot if wins along the way....... and they know everybody else, and where to go, and they like a drink

so even though it's my 1st TT, it's like I've been coming since the 60's
