Don't forget to take into consideration the heel of your foot on the peg. It's all looking good, coming along nicely

Picture 4 works for me......
With the exposed trellis frame, if you extend an imaginary line out the back of the bike from the top rail, brace rail and exhaust, they all look to meet up at a central point.
Definately coming along nicely.

the angles look similar to these, you could use the tubular supports for the exhaust brackets, nice

Same here Lloydie, those guys have got some skills. Really fancy doing something with a TR1 or. 750 virago and giving it a Vincent feel.

Yeh they really look the part mate, I like  There's no way the foam will take the heat unless it's designed for that purpose. It will melt and leave a horrible mess on your pipes. Best to use some exhaust wrap. I had some P clips with rubber inserts on the exhaust attached to the lower peg mounts. That melted and left a horrible mess. And that was on Titanium which is slightly cooler :eek2

Update Jan 2013

Been tyring to get the exhausts into the right position to allow me to get the link pipe made

This is my first attempt, using a bar fixed under the seat. Something not right about this set up: The pipe is a bit too vertical

Image

Thought about putting the frame link back in...........hmmm, not bad

Image

This is more like it..........Temporarily fitted the link to finish the frame "V" where I cut it

Image

Just a variation using red

Image

I like it better in black though that may change when the final bracket is designed and made

Image

Image

Now I need to design the bracket and make one...........all I need is a cnc machine for my workshop :eek2

Also, thinking about cutting the end of the frame off, (in front of where the oringinal frame part connected)

(Trying to clean that area up will be a pain in the butt and probably never look correct)

Then have a bent tube welded on the inside of the frame to mirror the curve of the seat (most weld it to the original frame)

This means I can still fit the indicators in the ends of the frame

You will also notice the front mudguard laying on the rear tyre

Looking at this sort of thing for a rear mudguard, a bit wider though

Hope you like it :plainsmile
