It has sat under cover for ages as I keep using the KTM 8O , I think I used it twice last year, once for the Scotland weekend and once for the Wales weekend, then it has been for its MOT earlier this year....then it has sat on the trickle charger since then.

Guess what... Not enough battery ummph to start it :?

Jump started it, then charged the battery..... So I went out tonight to check it, and got about 3 turns of the engine then flat again  .

So I have ordered one off the eBay seller that mac recommended and hoping they deliver on Thursday like they promised, otherwise I will be bringing jump leads on the Scotland trip
good news .... the new AGM type battery arrived as predicted thumbs up for the service of Tayna batterys
Good news it arrived in time.
Which make battery did you go for Al :?:

Chris.
went with the higher ouput one Mac said he was going to try next

lets see how well it holds up

No wonder you needed a lie down, that certainly does look like a heavy lump :eh:

There's guys on the Laverda forum who claim to have lifted these snug fitting 90kg engines in and out by hand single handed.

I'm 6'3" and over 17st but I really don't think I could do that ... 😬

Bought it back Image

Late last night my doorbell rang, it was a chap called Chris from Bike mover UK, he said; "I've got a bloody loud bike for you in the van"...

She has been in the capable hands of a gentleman who goes by the name of Grumpyfrog for the last 3.5yrs. After quick call to the Scottish legend a few weeks back and before I knew it, he'd agreed to let her go. - Thanks Stu, I'll look after her until it's your go again.

i saw your post about wanting a seat and wondered if you had a Storm again  now this explains it.

and although I saw Grumpy at the weekend and he said he sold the Storm, he didn't hint that it had gone back to its builder........ its all clear now

Cheers dudes, it's pretty amazing to have it back and I'd forgotten just how much work I'd done to it

Just needs a few bits for the mot, then I'll enjoy it for a bit and hopefully give it a proper make over during the winter Image

I think the looks of these bikes are getting better with age, do you reckon?
