ggggrrr feckin annoyed now.... just put a couple of coats of lacquer onto then and it has reacted with the black paint but not the silver..... now have crinkle finish on the lower bits.

i will see how it looks when dry, don't care if it is not glossy as long as it looks like a works racer finish i might leave it

If that's happened was the black paint an oil or water based paint?

Nice job mate, these also need doing on my bike, what stand do you use to support the bike ?

I was thinking of getting an Abba stand..possibly one of the new Skylifts, any good recommendations welcome.

How annoying, hopefully when dry it won't look out of place too much,

It's going on a yellow bike Chris, it can't make it any worse! The bottoms look like Lloydies wellies anyway.

More likely the cold damp weather and applying too much too quick. Fuel resistant lacquer is the worst for this and causing a reaction.

Stick the can in some hot water to warm it up a bit first and start with very light dust coats, leave for 10-15mins between coats building the amount applied each time. Only on the final coat do you give it a good heavy coating but not so heavy that it runs. Just enough so it covers well and leaves a good finish.
