Today I ran my bike out of petrol. Fortunately it was at the top of a hill and a petrol station was 200m down the road.

RLOD 103 miles. Cough cough 122 miles. Totaly empty, engine dead 123 miles. Filled the tank to the brim, bike upright 15.44 litres. WTF?

Fixed all the issues I had a few weeks ago. Now have a running bike that stops as well. Thanks for all the advice.

Cheers. Turned out to be really simple in the end. Hours checking continuity and it was just bad connections. Five mins with a file and it fired up straight away.

because of the shape of the tank, there's always half a litre that can't be used.

Nice to know you have twenty miles to play with though

good job you were at the top of a hill to the petrol station. I can never understand why some folk tell bout how far they had to push their bike, I'd much rather just walk and then carry a jerry can back. It weighs a lot less
My new ride is a bit of a Howler and I love to make her Squeal

It may be that your whole purpose in life is simply to serve as a warning to others.

after pulling the forks apart to get one tube straightened, I decided to respray the fork lowers again. can't afford to get them done professionally atm, so an £8 can of Halfords bmw met grey will have to do.
turned out darker than expected. not bad tho. let see if I can get the forks back together without destroying the fresh paint.... :(
