you are so bloody right if/when i get my hands on the mori engine il prob not fit it anyhow as its not the sorta thing il be wanting to cover 5 or 6 thousand miles a year on incase i damaged it but be nice to have it sitting to fit when im old and just sit and look at it lol

things like that has to be ridden but minimal chance to get it under 1.5k pounds.

oh its gona get ridden for sure. its gona earn its keep in my hands and i can retire the yellow one from track duties and it will be my touring/casual bike..
i could wait to a find all the parts i want or need for it but that could take months or years so its,get it roadworthy and get it out and add the bits as i go along. a nice set of big brakes would be nice tho.

I meant at least 1.5k for engine already built. To make new one is much more expensive. Your best bet is to find new cams and pistons (pistons are available) and take it to Mr Roger Ditchfield. At the end this is the most efficient way, even for the cost. There is big risk to: do it cheap, do it twice.
I made one stage1 locally, peak power is ok, but there is still plenty to do with midrange, which is shite compared to Mori stg1 engine, altough it seems strong enough. On the other hand, it is fun to deal with, and for a long time

well back in the cave, bodywork has started to arrive and as my idea of how this bike should end up is a endurance racer on the road i set to and cut a dirty great hole in the new fairing ...







still a bit of work before paint but it getting close.. the headlight is from an NC30 and the cowl to hold it in place is small length of cut down drain pipe shaped and bonded to the fairing..

totally agree. Parts are becoming very hard to find (if you can even find them at all)
