It may have been dropped but I reckon it's a cheap copy. If it had been dropped the square opening would be a parallelogram. It's not. It's just a badly made terminal block, something that would never get through QA in a decent manufacturer. Ah I see. If you use silicone sealer you'll probably need one that is suitable for lead, or an epoxy resin might work, although if the terminal pole has movement in it, an epoxy resin it may not. It might pay you to hang on and see how the case goes before modifying itVTRid3r wrote:Thanks Chris. Unfortunately it's not a Yuasa. I cldnt afford 1 at the time so went for a cheaper version. It's an Exide Ytx16-BS. Wish I had gone for the Yuasa now. See what happens soon with the case. For the moment fingers crossed it's not leaking as bad and dripping out everywhere. Might clean the terminal up and put a thin bead of silicone around it just to help. The battery itself runs the bike lovely.
