mine since the first day I got it sounded like it was trying to self-destruct internally every so often, like the timing being totally wombles,
thing is no-one else has been around when it's happened, it's only when stood for a while (days/weeks) and has run fine 99% of the time. Only thing suggested was a sticky valve (for sticky does it mean slightly bent stem?).

four years on I'm still paranoid but she still runs the same and no signs of internal self-destruction :lol:

yep , mine regularly makes the most horrible clunks and lumps at tickover just not very often? its been like it for the 6,000 miles ive done so I try not to worry. It runs very sweetly when I,m giving it the beans?

Loud pipes, ear plugs....and you can still hear it : :lol:

If you fit a full belly pan it increases the noise echoed back up
