Here you go flatty 1m 25mm mild steel tube
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1-O-D-25mm-Mi ... 4845e2cd50

Or stainless
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/25MM-STAINLES ... 3ccb01aa34

or if you want some box section
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Mild-Steel-Bo ... 1e71c8393c

What part of the bike is it for anyway?

Saves tearing the plumbing apart. :biggrin

Thanks buddy, 25mm is good, seem to be able to find 1inch which is not good!!

Needs to be mild steel though, trying to weld diffent metals would be a nightmare with my skills!

It's only.4 of a mm out, so will it really show?
That's only .2 either side. A bit of light grinding will profile that in with no visible difference.
I take it that the section won't be structural, otherwise you need to consider wall thickness.

I think it will look better with that section in, tbh.

Oh and as regards the spraybooth. I was going to make something similar last year with some shuttering, a bit bigger, so you could do fairing panels.
I intended to provide heat via a paint stripper gun coupled with a thermostat mounted in a baffled section at the base, so that the hot jet of air would be dispersed evenly, but temp controlled....
Should work ok, but make sure you don't have the hot air aimed at unprotected wood, a metal plate or heat resistant foil should keep it form burning or catching fire.
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.

Done a bit more to the DuCafe

Welded on the short support tube under the seat

Finally decided on the position of the exhaust

Wanted it to be a bit higher but the link pipe would interfere with the boot

Will need to re-design the brackets holding the exhaust but its good enough for the fabricator to make/bend a link pipe

Image

Will get it away to the fabricators soon

Next up is the wiring, just ordered shrink wrap so ready to start cutting and connecting

Here goes........wish me luck :eh:
