Hi Mark,
When you say you want to include a picture on your profile, do you mean an Avatar the one in the left hand column, below your name and above joining date?
Or do you want to add a picture to your signature, to appear at the foot of each post you make?
You can choose to include or exclude your signature on posts by un-ticking or ticking box next to where it says:
Attach signature (signatures can be changed in profile)
For either, you need to be logged on to forum and click on Profile
Once there you'll see the following sections on the screen:
For an Avatar, use the above section. You can 'browse' to a picture on your PC or and Avatar you've 'borrowed' from someone else on another forum.
Be aware though the size of the picture is very limited as it says.
The best way I've found is to use Link to off-site Avatar
For this all you need to do is find the picture or Avatar you want, right click it, select properties and copy the http//:jhuhuhuruwu.jpg or .gif bit, (the url) and paste it into the form as above. You can paste it into Notepad temporarily so you don't lose it.
To include a picture in your signature, use the above section.
Easiest way is to type whatever text you want and then as above, copy the url of the pictureyou want to include. To get it to display as a picture and not as a url you need to type immediately after it. As I've done in the box above, obviously the http://****.jpg would be your chosen pictures url
See this post for more info, the basic principles are the same.
