TT 25

Post by smondo »

Got there, had 8 nights of wind n wet, so happy we stayed in a tent then. Quarterbridge campsite was good, especially the Okells Smoked Porter, much tastier and cheaper than the Guinness. Last time I went was in 1992, so many differences, now nowhere near as much fun. Saw 5 other Firestorms, but only two not moving, one on afore mentioned campsite, the other at the Creg, anyone on here? Givis totaling 30 kg were usually ok, but were difficult on sharp turns in boat, as too top heavy. Also had to be careful with acceleration due to this weight being mainly behind rear wheel spindle. We went, as was on missus' bucket list, she enjoyed the atmosphere, but prefered not to do a second lap as she was very scared. Anyone else go?
On another point, has anyone been following the Australien team using a Firestorm in their Classic meetings?

Good that you enjoyed yourselves, it was a bit of a pity it fizzled out rather than having the Senior race- but safety of the riders is the priority.
Some great podiums this year, it might have been a bit more predictable had Hicky competed.
I'm very pleased for Ian Hutchison, and a few Manx riders went well. It's a shame you can't easily buy a road-legal Paton; they're a proper weapon.

And a double win for Honda, at last. Well done to them for not giving up on the Fireblade.
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.

Krazy Horse have a new one in stock and there's one on eBay at the minute. Both are a few more beer tokens than I have to spend right now. Or ever, most likely 😞

I like the seat and tail unit on this Storm, anyone know what it is? may be from a Suzuki GSXR?
