Newbee

Post by Bobdog »

Hello fellow enthusiasts , bobdog here with new to me yellow 98 vtr1000 firestorm . I’m 69 and already did The vfr bar swap . I’ve owned dam near everything , r1, two Fz1, vfr , old bsa , triumphs , Valkyries , gold wings , 4sv650s you get the picture. Always wanted a vtr since one of my friends owned one . What great bike . Found a very clean original owner firestorm in yellow ( faster than red ). 20,000 miles not even a nick on it . After manual cct , tires (dunlop4)vfr bars I’m read to go . Been lurking , reading sight for information and thought I’d join up .first sight I’ve joined since my zrx1200 days 15 years ago . Shout out to all you people whose opinions I’ve been using thanks so much . I may be old but I’m cool old ! Much love to my fellow vtr owners.

Welcome to the forum bobdog. You are never too old,I still ride and I have just turned 78,but it’s a KTM 250 I bought after I sold my VTR quite recently. The KTM is only used for green laning it’s a bit scarey to ride on the road with the knobbly tyres. :D
SO WHEN DOES THIS OLD ENOUGH TO KNOW BETTER KICK IN
