DevonStorm '25. 20th - 23rd June

Post by MacV2 »

Yes its next years Operation Storm season starting salvo...

DEVOSTORM 2025

I booked & paid a deposit before leaving this year for the same 3 villas.
That's a total of 12 berths assuming there's a bit of spooning in the doubles !

Now if all places are taken it's £88.25 per person. This includes £7.25 as a slice of the holiday protection cover fee of £87 if we don't get a full 12 I may have to ask for a bit more each or I'll have to cover the shortfall me self & we don't want that to happen do we...

So £25 deposit now will get you that sacred spot in Devon Heaven... The full balance of your holiday is required by 11 January 2025)

I do realise that as that's close to Xmas so funds may be tight so happy to take part payments leading up to the cut off date.
As per normal ride down Friday. Chalets booked till Monday morn. Up to you if you stay on or go on Sunday.

No compensation offered to damage to bikes or luggage caused by self inflicted numnutitis...

The full balance of your holiday is required by Saturday, 11 January 2025.

Now here's my maths...

3x chalets @ £324 = 972 + £87* = £1059 So /x 12 (number of berths)

Chalets being 4 berth = £81+£7.25* = £88.25 per person

*3 x BHC Holiday protection Cover - (20-Jun-25 - 23-Jun-25) 87.00

Now I paid £162 as a deposit when booking which just about covers me as a full payment For 1 of the doubles, so that leaves 10 spots to fill...

Mac... Paid in full.

Thanks, Mac.
With a bit of luck, I'll have a motorhome to sleep in, so won't need a berth this time round.

I'm not sure if I can do the weekend but should be able to meet on the Saturday. Where are you staying?
Also as a I'm Devonshire born and Bred I can advise on routes... But I expect you all know it like the back of your hands anyway.

Hi Mac, I've got a lot of trips on next year.
I'd like to come along but like the Stottish trip the dates for both of these meetings always fall bad for me.
So like I've done with the Scottish trip, if I can make it I'll just turn up, if there's no room left, I'll find somewhere near by.

Be fantastic if you could make it.

As it stands there's plenty of room...

I think it’s probably best to cancel one of the chalets if you don’t get many more takers Macster. 🥲

Unfortunately Mac, you can't count on maybes.
Do what you have to do with numbers you've got, otherwise you'll just end up out of pocket.
I have the same problem at the moment with the Wales trip.
It's normally over subscribed, with reserves waiting, but this year so far I'm struggling to even fill the Bunkhouse.
For some strange reason there seems to be a massive drop in interest from forum, and non forum members.
I don't know what it is, Maybe we're all just getting older and moving in different directions.
