I read the rest of this earlier, a crackin' read as usual. Many thanks guy's for taking time to do this, and for posting up the photo's
Chris.
Cheers Chris,
It’s a bit of effort, but fun to do, and I think it’s good for the rest of the forum to see what we get up to and hopefully think about joining us next year.
Yes it is, also forum member like me who can't attend due to health problems, it means we get to hear how things went etc, so don't feel so left out

In case anyone hasn’t googled Mach loop jets, this is the type of photo the fans get from the top of the hills as the jets go past.
We rode out along that road past The lake

I just had a look online, what an ideal spot for photographers

There was a plan hatched between me & Jones, to do the Mach Loop last year after Wales... But when you look into it, you have to park along a lower road & hike up the mountain to get to the viewing point.
There's no guarantee that that you can park... It's advised that you take a tent as the weather can change real quick. & to top it off the planes only do it if they have enough fuel for a detour after doing whatever they were planning on that day. There's a small window time wise that they will be there if they do show up... It's apparently a mix of UK & US planes that do it...
So all in all unless your in for a long hike, not really practical in bike gear, can carry a tent... Best done if your in a van so you have somewhere to crash out & leave the bikes & all the gear...
It's on me bucket list...
Making up since 2007, sometimes it's true...Honest...

So there is a lot more to getting there after you have parked, and being there at the right time too. Good info that Mac
