Air filter

Excuse the newby question. Does anyone just replace the element part of the air filter instead of the whole unit? It seems to be an unnecessary waste of a big chunk of plastic to throw the whole thing away. By my calculations a A1527 element will fit.

Well you can try it & let us know how you get on.

K&N & others do reusable filters. Clean & re oil.

However if your worried about the plastics environmental impact... Just go slosh another tank full of E5 in the Bike & ride on spitting out copious amounts of Hydrocarbons... Oh & what about your old tyres do you try & reuse them ?

It's worth a try. What's the cost of the filter you found versus a complete replacement?
Also, is there any information about the particulate size it will filter out?
