Smartherd the chain inside , outside & both sides with chain lube.

A wipe over with ACF-50.

Been doing winter prep too, after washing the firestorm I waxed the wheels with regular liquid turtle wax. I use Pocket Rocket (WD type of stuff) and to give the metal bits a spray/wipe including the titanium exhaust as it keeps it all rust free.

I did an oil n filter change, filled it up with Tesco 99 and added fuel stabiliser then run it for a few minutes. I like to believe that the warm up will also vapourise the pocket rocket to kind of add a layer of rust protection in all the nooks and crannies.

I also stick the bike on a CTEK bike charger every couple of weeks to keep the battery topped up, used to leave it permanently plugged in but don't do that any more as I thought it wasn't good for the battery...

Still planning to fire the bike up at least once a month till spring, run it up till the fan kicks in and switch off :plainsmile
You've been busy too

I do the same with mine over the winter months (well over the wet and cold months to be precise lol), fire her up every 6 weeks or so and run up until the fan cuts in,

I fitted a new fuel tap seal kit on the TDR 250 as it was letting by.
The TDR forum guys said just by a new tap @ £110 but one guy said he had found a kit for £15 and it worked.
Stripped her down which is a pain as the oil tank is part of the fuel tank and has a habit of the pipe pulling off as you lift it, it then covers engine with two stroke oil.
Guess what it dumped oil over the engine.
Fitted the new seal kit, and old one was pretty perished, cleaned up all the oil, refitted and refilled the tank, and hey presto it still Feckin leaks.
Wheeled it back in the garage and ignored it.

With things like that I find going indoors for a cup of coffee or tea sometimes does the trick. It gives you a break and some time to have a rethink of the situation.

Good luck with getting it sorted Duffy, I'm sure you will,

Chris.

It’s one of the most fiddly bikes I’ve ever worked on, it’s all crammed in then the exhaust get in the way and my hands get cut to ribbons working on it. I will wait for warmer weather and either fix it or sell it.

I took the Storm out for a half decent ride today, and it stayed dry for all 50 miles of it. Some of the roads I rode were a little damp, but overall I had dry roads, awesome :D :D

Moved 'em all out & spent a couple of hours fixing LED Baton lights up...

Had to fix some wood longways between the rafters...

Got two up & wired in a 3rd in place but not wired in yet & one more to fix in & wire up...

Have a wee test later on when its dark but I've left the old LED floods in place anyway, which are quite bright but don't seem to give great coverage. Defiantly have a dark spot that needs some light...
