Old cans new sound

Post by Acke »

Hi!

Since I want to keep the original cans for MOT I've been running a pair of smaller cans which are loud...
Decided to order a pair of refurbished cans which I'm going to perform a baffle-ectomy on. Looking to get that deep growl!

Has anyone here ever painted the stock cans?

Not that I'm aware of...You'd have to key up the surface first before applying any paint, have to be heat resistant...

Oh I ran debaffled cans on me commuter hack, passed MOT many a time. Still heavy bloody things tho...

Yeah the weight is horrible...
I wonder what makes up all the weight.
Unfortunately I'm not keen to spend 450+ on a pair at the moment.
