1999 Honda Firestorm

Post by Dazza2910 »

Located just outside Edinburgh, could possibly deliver (for a cost) depending on location.

Got this a few years ago just as a project to work on. Knew I'd probably spend more money on it than I'd get back, but the plan was never to get it to make money, just something to work on in the garage. Got it insured, taxed and MOT'd (since expired but can put MOT on it) and took it out for a spin and riding position wise I've realised I'm not going to use it much. I had a disc replaced in my neck a few years ago and it's not the most comfortable for me. Was always a 2nd bike anyway.

Cosmetically it's not excellent but my plan was always to do the mechanical side of things first and cosmetics later. So plan is to gauge interest and see if there is any as it is, or I'll take it apart over the winter and do the cosmetic stuff.

So far it's had :

Battery
Oil/filter, Spark plugs (DPR9EVX-9), Air filter
Braided hoses (brakes & clutch)
Brake/Clutch fluid
Front discs and pads (EBC)
Rear disc and pads (EBC)
Caliper and disc bolts
Front wheel bearings
Rear wheel bearings
Cush drive rubbers
Sprocket nuts
Wheels painted
Metzeler M7RR Tyres (done less than 20 miles)
Forks painted and internal refreshed (Rogered!)
Nitron Rear shock
Shock bearing & seals
Tsubaki chain, Renthal sprockets
Fairing bolts
Mirrors
Black Levers
AS3 Silicon coolant hoses
Refreshed carbs off eBay
Mileage is just over 29K

Have spent just under £2,500 on it. Looking for £1,500. As I said, didn't buy it to make money, just project to keep me occupied!
