Is there a way to measure chain stretch other than using a Tsubaki tool?.
Think I saw one for £95.......ft.

With the chain correctly tensioned...Should be on side stand.
If you can pull the chain away from the rear sprocket it's fecked...
Grip the chain twixt finger & thumb & pull back, it will have a bit of movement but if it's badly worn you'll be able to pull it away from the sprocket.
It'll be obvious when you try it...
