luggage

Post by zakisbak »

I don't want a rack/top box,tank bag,rucksack.

Anyone used a pillion seat bag?Any good?
Does a cargo net/bungees work on the pillion seat? (there seem to be small gaps under the seat that bungees may go through?)

Only talking about very light luggage, mainly a heavy chain/padlock,and a toothbrush change of underwear if I'm feeling flash

There are fold out hooks under the seat.

I use Rok Straps... https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/324995530997 ... BMoMiugfFf

You can get tail packs & look out for a Rentac rack only holds 5kg but good for strapping to.

Also look out for a Ventura rack and bag system. It allows you to mount a 50l bag either on the pillion seat or on the rack, and when you don't want it on the bike you can quickly unscrew the rack and A frame that supports the bag.
And you can get a pillion grab rail that can fit in place of the mounting rails that remain attached to the bike, so it is a pretty versatile solution.

Oh Zaisbak forgot to say the tail pack I hane just has straps that go under the seat to hold it on. Yes the straps, velcro jobs, fit in the gaps on the cowl. Take the seat off, strap it on, seat back on & away you go...

I saw that .......... Mr Pedantic  , but with the ventura you can quickly and easily take off the bag the rack or the grab rail, so you only have the hidden rails, so it is a pretty good compromise. so I thought I would be helpful for once.

Realized I have hi rise exhausts so don't think it would work.
I'll probably use backpack and bungees.
