Well, not today but the past few weeks I've had lots of time on my hands, thanks to Sciatica down my leg...
So thought best use my time getting the rsv ready for Spring!
New tyres (Michelin Road 5's, seemed a natural choice after much success with the 3 & 4's).
New chain, sprockets, oberon clutch slave cylinder, fluids, filters, plugs, taller screen, SW Motech tank bag ring, phone mount with charger, cut out all the brown connectors and soldered the wires before they burn out. Serviced the shock linkages which are just as prone to seizing as the Storms'. New fork seals and fluid. Tank grips.
I had a custom seat made, just a bit taller than stock, to give me a bit more leg room, which works a treat!
So with a break in the weather this weekend I went out for a good blast and nothing broke or fell off! Result.
P.s, the RSV forum is dead. Hence you lot are stuck with me indefinitely...
The rsv is everything I hoped for with my modded vtr. The handling is so precise and sharp, yet when the grip does let go it's still very manageable.
The engine requires a bit more revving and gear changing to get the best out of it, unlike the Storms silky smooth but tractor like torque curve.
But all in all, really happy to be back on a bike and I can't wait to get involved in the Op Storms again.
