At last, I have it!

Post by robin1000 »

Well I've finally got my Storm back after many months in the wilderness. It's been with Del being transformed into a fire breathing monster!
It's got Del's 120bhp engine with modded air box and carbs and the all important cam chain tensioner mod.(Del's own conversion)
List of bits:
Acerbis headlamp with hi and lo lights
ABM riser conversion with Renthal bars and renthal grips
alloy reservoir caps and pre-load adjusters
One-off "pods" for mounting Spa tacho and speedo (both multi-functional)
Carbon mudguard and hugger
Carbon Micron cans (red)
Dry couplings to oil cooler
Magnom oil filter
Fully programmable race ignition (via lap top)
Penske rear shock with remote reservoir under seat, road/race.
Harris Rearsets
Braided front lines
"bat ears" undertray
One-off alloy crash bobbins
Added fuel pump to keep up with fuel demand
Full Acumen Cat 1 alarm
I've also got a wavey rear disc ready to fit.
...and tax and ticket.

There's probably more that I can't think of at the moment.
It pulls like a train and doesn't like town riding too much as the power comes in at around 6,000rpm with a bang. The rev limit has been set a 9,600 for now and I've had 119mph at that with more to come.
It's been worth the wait but I can see my licence dissappearing quicker than a Big Brother housemate!
So if anyone fancies it, it's yours for £3,500, if not I'll have to take my chances.
PM me for any details.

I'll put some pictures in the gallery.

Well, racing beckons once again, and 2 pulls from plod :( mean that I'll take £2,700 for it. You won't find another quite like it I'm sure.
If you want a Storm to do what it's supposed to do (wheelie, make yer ears bleed and pull in any gear) then this is the one.
It sounds desparate but it's not. It's a fair price for a unique Storm.
Cheers

:D :P

Sad though it is Kaz, I can't ride a bike on the road. I'm a danger to me and everyone round me!
Ironically I've been pulled for both. First one was for speeding. Overtaking a few cars on the coast road only to find plod at the roundabout. They "guessed" that I was way over and gave me a lecture.
Second was for the noise, just gave them an excuse to have a good look over the bike, and they couldn't find a thing to pull me on, ha!
As I can't do without my licence I've decided that discretion (and staying alive) is the better part of valour and she's gotta go. :(
