The 10amp fuse supplying the instruments, rear and front sidelights keeps blowing for no obvious reason. The voltages were :
Off - 12.9v
Engine running 15.5v
So I changed the reg for a new one.
Now its
Off - 12.9v
Engine running 14.5v
The new reg has a built in heatsink.
Put a new fuse back in - instruments came back for a minute or two, then blows again with engine running.
Replaced it with another 10amp fuse, blows even with the engine off this time !
Any ideas anyone ? I have checked the bulbs for shorts. Haven't taken all the body work off to check all the wires yet ..,..
