It is indeed a KH triple 2 stroke Kwakker Mr Marty. Followed 4 of them onto the ferry to Larne on Friday morning. They were minters too
And cars had starter handles and a lever to advance and retard the ignition.long before the LC,s came out these were fast bikes lol. Oil was then put into a separate tank and controlled by a cable etc

I really like those Suzy 500's lots of torquey things and sound fab....wouldn't mind one as a friend to the Storm...Richard wrote:Only ever rode a kh250 absolutely smooth as silk up to about eighty and then just sort ran out of steam.
I've had 3 t500 and 1 gt500 certainly not silky smooth but very good fun
Very early for a disc brake on a 250 triple...perhaps a mod done on an S1C?? Looks like an original US bike so perhaps they already had them as standard in the US before we did...
I could go for another, but and this must also be a sign getting old, have you seen what they want for them. My God I practically had to give the last T500 away as I had no space to keep it. It was a 1972 vintage in purple with white detailing.Pem Brooke wrote:I really like those Suzy 500's lots of torquey things and sound fab....wouldn't mind one as a friend to the Storm...Richard wrote:Only ever rode a kh250 absolutely smooth as silk up to about eighty and then just sort ran out of steam.

Yep, I paid big money for my little 250. The clean triples fetch good money...my mate paid £1,600 for a real basket case 250 S1C. Parts (if you can get them) are big money too!!countrymick wrote:there are often a 750 and a 500 at hartside cafe, both imaculite and probably the most valuble bikes there.
