another morning spent with my fav spanner monkey.
a very productive day. I managed to remove and respray the forks. then fit a coerce fork brace that i'd bought from yeti well over a year ago.
also removed a ventura rack that sadly doesn't fit properly, dam my carbon fibre exhaust hangers for getting in the way, and I ain't cutting into them, so it's back to the good old givi rack for me..... :(
torqued up lots of bolts, plenty of lloydie lube and copper grease flying around.
still need to remove and clean my headers, but that can wait until after the devon trip.
Image
also a picture of my new matching rear caliper, no more miss matched gold/black calipers.....

It's crying out for a braced underslung SA, Marty.
Get the apprentice on it, he can whittle one from a road sign or summat.
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.

I lashed it together with some copper pipe and gaffer tape while drunk.
You can't see the nails and woodscrews from that angle.

I'm not bothered about the rest; I'm just going to clean the bits I can see while riding.

If I put a smear of Autoglym on the beer belly it does the tank while riding; if I brake hard it does the inside of the screen, too.

Your work is looking good Tony. You put in a lot of work to get that extra 10mm rise in the bars. It could be worth it though, fingers crossed for you it is,

What I did yesterday and the day before. Does this still count? Exhausts off and cleaned, seat cowel off and T-cut and buffed, all plastics T-cut and buffed, all calipers removed and cleaned up, wheels all degreased and buffed, frame and forks cleaned, engine cleaned as best as I cld, (went through 3 tooth brushes and 2 2"stiff brushes  ) and a new blue tinted screen that came out awesome. just bolts to remove now and the reshaping and spraying of the belly pan. Thats the cosmetics done. Next mechanical job. Cct's. She's looking good now. :)

Tried to start it and it just went click, now there's no power. Looking forward to a hours of time working out where the short is. Hopefully it's just a difference fuse.
