+1 one on the news there Paul.

Massive pair of underpants on the highway LOL And to add to the weather it was the first day of Summer solstice so the days are going to start getting shorter. :( I do wonder why we fight so hard to keep this country. I'd swap with some of Europe any day. Let them have the weather. I guess this means I am going to start suffering from SAD again.

Oh well Glastonbury at the the weekend to watch

Nothing, really. I was trying really hard for a while to find something to celebrate- Oh yes! Performance bikes has the old vee twin test reprinted in which the Storm came third.
Third's not bad.
Third.... Third's ok.

But at least we have a mention, even though they wrote of two (including a reader's borrowed one) during a weekend's testing.

And the spelling was atrocious back then, (or atroshers, in the vernacular of the hour)

Know how you feel- I had crunchy nut cornflakes this morning, but a quick sluice in the shower I was ready to face the world.

Tried my new shock out properly today. Only very roughly adjusted up it makes the bike much more comfy to ride and keeps the back wheel on ground nicely when cornering. Can't wait to get the front end looked at nowImageImageImageImage

I still do a diary for my Cancer Trial and some things had changed in the bowel movement department. They got me in for the inspection and removed lots of poleps etc. Sore as hell but happy.

Set off from home and the bike is bogging down, has no power, then cuts out 200m down the road.

Forgot to re-attach the fuel hose to the tank
Luckily I have an 8mm spanner on a multi-tool under the seat so just lifted the tank and plugged it back in!

Why on earth would you set it up roughly?
Do it properly, and be nice to your shock.

Actually, when cornering, I find in general my back wheel IS on the ground.
Backing it in while stoppie-ing?
Respect

On the Yorkshire run my back wheel was off the ground quite often, while accelerating leaving the ground which was pretty unusual for me.

The road conditions were pretty bumpy, my std shock was on a soft setting too.
I don't think my std equipment is really up to that kind of riding.
I've got the hypo front springs to put in but I think I may need a different rear sock.
Any advice?
Cheers

Yes dont get white ones they are too 80's.

Comedy pattern ones are out too.

Good old plain black is the way forward for sock.

Hope that helps.

If you after a shock however...If you find a used one on ebay any of the big names WP, Nitron, Ohlins ect always factor in a service as you dont know what life it's had...£200 -£300 ish.

Or look at a new Hagon or YSS...(Popkat can sort you out a YSS one I believe...)

It all depends on how much you want to spend really...

Thanks Mac.
Don't normally wear socks well not in pairs unless I want to keep both balls warm as well.
I like them to be knitted with patterns on or with a little black nose and whiskers on the end.
Kind of takes their mind off the shock of seeing the size of it when i haul out mickey mouse.
One problem is the price of wool plus it takes a lot of work to make a sock big enough to fit.

Popkat you say, thanks I'll give him a shout

yeah something like that
the old shock made it feel like a bucking bronco going round corners, a bit spine jarring. this one makes it feel nice and smooth (so far).

You're not the first to do that and I doubt you'll be the last :)
At least you realised what it was,
