ASV vs Chinese levers

Post by KermitLeFrog »

Had some Chinese levers delivered yesterday. Brake and clutch lever in a posh foam lined box. Direct from China. £30 including postage from rideitmoto.com. I'm quite impressed considering the huge price difference.

The chinese levers will not fold all the way back and do not have a bearing sleeve for the pivot (but a hole milled directly into the aluminium) but the machining and finish is good and they have SS fittings whereas the ASV have cad plated steel. Apart from the foldbackability about evens on the design front. If you are that worried about breaking levers put a spare brake lever under the seat (in extremis you don't need the clutch..) and save yourself a ton.

Cheers
Ian

Clutch levers only shown. I don't have an ASV brake lever.
