Some sort of crap catcher for rear wheel...

Post by Tenesmus »

I've already got a hugger but of course it doesn't help the stuff that's chucked up vertically from the back of the tyre and onto the plate, light and pillion's back... anyone know of something that will fit? These country roads be muddy...

Has your plastic OEM rear mudguard been chopped? As a standard one along with a hugger shouldn't be quite as bad as you describe.

Even then it won't cover as much of the rear wheel as much as this Dullsville...

but you can if you fabricate this rear guard extender

I just took off thee rear number plate, cut a piece of thin rubber mat, the kind you have in car foot wells and attached it to the rear mudguard with two dome headed bolts with big washers, replace the number plate over the matting ...certainly helps in winter.
