Hi guys as we all know the vtr isn't great on fuel well if were honest it's pants, someone has suggested to me to install a stage one dyno jet kit to the bike which in their words "could" improve economy has anyone got any wise words or advice for me.

You can get similar results with oem needles, but dynojet has clips so you can adjust the position easier. Important part is, don't change the slide holes and leave two oem for each carb.
Personally, I would use oem needless on the lowest position or with 0.5 mm washers, and play with main jet sizes, pilot jet sizes, and pilot jet screws. What you need to do anyway.

Firstly if you want better mpg ? Get a c90 .
A dyno jet kit will cost £150+ to have fitted and set up on a dyno and may make the mpg worse .

If you are getting about 100miles to the tank (old 16l) then you are not going to get much better with jet kit.
As lloydie says, use hawks jetting instructions with std needles and you should get it running sweet

I got 130 to tank 16lt, fitted dyno kit, now get 125 but its worth it !

Should be possible on motorway / dual carrigeway at a steady cruising pace.
As lloydie said if your looking for day-to-day fuel economy get a different bike. My VTR has a dynojet kit (and K&N + forty naughty cans) and in in a decade I reckon it has cost me an extra £1000 in fuel. My second bike a Transalp mule gets almost twice the fuel economy!

I have dyno kit and I am lucky to get 90-100 on a run and about 75-80 normal (to light coming on)

I just refitted my Dynojet needles. Running with 2 lift holes in both slides.
set to approx. 2 turns out on mixture screws.
K&N Air filter.
Seems to run nicely, right through.
Will let you know what I get to the tank , when I next get a run out.!

Got 110 miles before rlod.
But might have been a few more miles due to roadside tuning.
so say about 115 miles for me. But it runs quite well !!
As has been said, if you buy a storm , fuel economy is
not one of its strong points !!
