Bike tank colour = bike colour?

Post by chrisgreer23 »

Is it generally accepted that the colour or your bike's tank is what the colour of the bike is? My bike's fairing is completely black but my tank is yellow. Does this mean I have a yellow bike?

I don't know if I am ok with having a yellow bike.

Comments?

Spray the rest of the bike yellow and leave documentation as is, or spray the tank a DVLA approved shade of black and get the documentation changed to say its a Kafkaesque black bike...

I might just cover the tank in carbon fiber. So I'm guess the fairing could be changed to any colour and the DVLA wont care?

DVLA will want to know the primary colour of vehicle - so if it's currently black leave as is.

If you went for a zebra pattern then let them know its black/white

or if you go fully bumblebee as mentioned earlier declare its black/yellow

No, and I don't know where you came up with that.

I'm not fretting over this, just wanted to start a conversation. Some of my co-workers were talking about my "yellow" bike. My reaction = :wtf:
