Hello from West Yorkshire

Post by lockwood1956 »

Hi,
I'm Bob, 59 from Knottingey West Yorkshire been out of biking for about 20 years. Have been riding a bandit 600 for the last three months ( bought it cheap to see if I liked biking still) am loving it, but am thinking of buying aVTR from a mate of mine who doesn't really want to sell. But has a young family and no opportunities to ride it so would rather it was used than sat in his garage.

I train driving instructor trainers for a living, member of RoSPA ( cars) and hold the Diploma in advanced driving instruction. Hope to do the bike version eventually, but for now am just enjoying the last of the years sunshine.

I have been getting to squires on a weekend and have picked up where I left off years ago, drinking tea and talking baldrocks.

Hope to learn from the masses on here

Welcome aboard buddy

Just up the road from you

Enjoy the forum

If you haven't seen the warnings, cct's and rectifryer are the things to get sorted if they are not done

Otherwise a pretty reliable bike

Vtr is very different to bandit, but one cell you get the swing of it, you will find its character is addictive .

Good luck

Hi Bob, if you do go for the VTR, I doubt you'll regret it. The engines character is..

Well just ride it & see for yourself
