Grab rail kit.

Post by Metalmad18 »

No pictures to show unfortunately, but i just fitted the grab rail kit for the storm. Where before the rail was only connected by bolts to the frame, this kit takes a few extra bolts and the existing fittings/holes (no mods needed) and it is now solid as a rock. You can easily manouvre the bike using the grab rail alone as its very sturdy. Quite impressed!

Only problem is i cant have the seat cowl on at the same time.

Depending on how you choose to secure it it could be 2!!! 4 is much more secure though. The two centre ones are a sod to put/take off though.

iirc you should be able to still use seat cowl, that's assuming it's a firestorm and the racks made by rentec..
I agree that it makes moving the bike around so much easier....
I had one, but ultimately I didn't like the look, so it had to go. but they're very handy to have.

I've had the seat cowl on with it before, but it's difficult when taking seat on and off.

not a fan of the look either but it's really useful for pillions, luggage, and go pros

:D
