Looking at a Storm in the next couple of days!!!!
I'm going out looking at a Storm in the next couple of days.
A dealer I know has taken a 2001 Storm in as part ex against a Castrol Honda Edward rep SP!.
Kaz sory but I don't think it's a yellow one!
That's all I know right now I'll keep you updated

I'll sort some pictures if it's any good!
My only worry is riding it! I'm still having big problems with strength in my shoulder. The brigade physio reckons I am still weeks away from being strong enough to go back to work. It seems a very slow process getting my shoulder sorted. I'm doing all the exercises twice a day every day, but it's taking a long time

That would be greatFireman on a Storm wrote:I'll sort some pictures if it's any good!
It must be very frustrating for you, (my niece at the moment is recovering from a broken pelvis and she's finding the time its taking is dragging her down too) the main thing is you're still here to tell the taleFireman on a Storm wrote: My only worry is riding it! If you do feel up to test riding, at least you will be on a familiar bike not a completely different one, so that should be a help
Good luck with it

familiar bike
I've spent the last 18 months with a renthal bar conversion on my old Storm
This one is standard!!!!!!!
Can you see why I am worried. I did the bar conversion because of a wrist opp!
Re: familiar bike
Oops that had slipped my mind I do remember you saying about trying Tony's conversion and that was it, you were sold on the ideaFireman on a Storm wrote:

Just got back from the bike shop.
Can't put any pictures up because the gallery is not working and I don't know how to do it another way
The Bad new
The bike is was meant to look at a 2001 y plate 13k miles silver storm didn't get traded in, I was looking at about £2.5k. The blokes wife wouldn't let him by the SP! he wanted.
The good news
The blokes best mate said well if your not going to buy it I will. He traded an R reg silver Storm with 8k miles on the clock. Nice bike! I would even say immaculate for the year. I will be talking to the dealer again tomorrow to sort out a price. He was snowed under today because he sold about a months worth of bikes in a weekend.
The bike has new brakes, tires and good chain and sprockets and the mechanic gave it a good going over for me while I was there.
( I have known the shop owner for a long while, and got my last bike off he for trade money. I have sold a number of bikes for him to students I have trained) If I get this for under £2k, I might go for it and save a few pennies in the bank.
The confusing news.
I then got a call when I got home from a bloke off of ebay. I had talked to him about his 2001 storm that was for sale on there. It didn't reach it's reserve. I've told him what I am prepared to pay and he is getting back to me tomorrow.
It's like bloody busses.

Update on the confusing news
The bloke phoned me back today instead of tomorrow and said he will take the cash I offered, because I had been honest with him and he did not want ot try ebay again and didn't want the hassle of advertising!.

My insurance cheque should clear by Thursday.
I will deside today weather to go for the cheaper silver 98 bike or the 2001 yellow bike. If the silver bikes details check out and it's really cheap, I might have to go for it. If there is only a few hundred pounds price difference it will be the yellow one!
