Quill exhaust

I'm off to view a vtr with quill exhaust cans

Are they really loud or they, well ok.

There the best sounding cans I've ever heard.
They are louder than most but it's a deep soft dirty sound .
When you look at it run it up to temp and if the cans (especially the left one) gets hot near the link pipe it needs repacking.

Don't replace them that's crazy !!! Repacking them is easy and cheap and it quietens them down a treat

iv a set of quills on mine and id rather bite my arm of than sell them. that answer your question ? :thumbup: :thumbup: :thumbup: :thumbup:

on mine the end caps are riveted on but can be removed for repacking. they have a real nice deep growl when im puttering about but above 6k they make childen cry and women wet themselves lol

On top exhaust tip there is a m6 but and bolt holding what I think is the baffle.

That sounds about right Dan. If you do do require drilling rivets out for a repack note that they are gas tight stainless rivets and will require a good drill bit.

If repacking it may require the removal of the opposite end cap if you want to get the perforated tube out.
