It's not ignoring the head, it's more like ignoring the valve- as the o-ring is blasted out of the cylinder through the exhaust port it's likely to get trapped by the exhaust valve, and may carbonise against the seat, causing a loss of compression.

Try this instead-
Take off the two caps on the alternator cover.
Turn the engine to inlet valve fully open for that cylinder.
Poke a compressed air feed into the spark plug hole.
Remove airbox lid to find and remove the o-ring.
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.

And open the butter fly and hold the slide open then it has a clear run out the engine

Connected everything up today, filled her with oil and water, battery in, hit the button and nothing. I forgot to put it on charge last night. Enough juice for lights, but not to turn over.

Might try the hoover or compressed air option tomorrow.

It's out. Turned her over and I found it about six feet behind the bike.

Brilliant, now all you've got to do is sort the idiot out that put it in there in the first place!

It may be that your whole purpose in life is simply to serve as a warning to others.

Ha ha. Some how I don't think that's going to be as easy to fix.
