Fitted the "bespoke" remote rear Shock adjuster bracket, really pleased but the s/s straps would not do up tight enough, so may have to use a s/s hose clamp ! bugger the straps look smart but wont hold it secure enough for me erratic left knee down antics ha who am i kidding!!
Fitted new LED front indi,s too. considering i wasn't going to do anything else I've done loads. Did anoth er 220 miles today though and still smiling.

that's a chunky bracket paul....
I've been a busy boy today as well, I investigated an oil leak lowdown on the nearside, it turned out to be the gen cover gasket and the seal for the stator lead.
luckily I had a spare gen gasket and stator lead.
so fairings off gen cover off, bugger of a job getting all the old gasket off, all put back together and no oil leak.....
I then fitted a renntec grabrail and attempted to refit the alarm, but the alarm wasn't playing ball. so i'll leave that alone.
I need to get a new front tyre fitted tomorrow, then I have to wait for my fav spanner monkey to pop round and do some mcct's.
pat on the back for me.......

Looks very strong and well up to the job .bigtwinthing wrote:"that's a chunky bracket paul." nothing i make breaks, it normally weighs a ton
Today I fitted a digital clock to the top yoke and had my forks played with while I was at bassets pole ,
It felt much better on the run back .
Also today I gave the hugger a coat of black and when it was dry I scuffed it up and gave it 4 coats of clear .
Hate painting black as it's the hardest to get a good finish with

At last my back has eased up and last night I was able to do the stopper mod before fitting new CCT's. Thanks guys for the "How to" guide made it much easier.
I can now ride without the nagging thought of the engine destructing!
Thanks Again

Re: what have you done to your "bike" today
been tinkering this morning. original exhaust off, no problem with the studs/nuts, the two front studs came out, but that ain't a problem.
swap lenses and bulbs on the indicators, also fitted a clear rear light. one of the plastic screw clips on the underside of the rear fairing needed drilling out, as it wouldn't play ball.
fitted rubber strip around the single seat cover and put a vtr handbook under the seat, I also removed the two hooks under the seat to make the seat easier to fit and remove.
fitted a chavy blue led sidelight bulb.
time to start cleaning the exhaust.....
